The
fibrous nature of paper product and caustic nature
of ink can cause extensive waer and corrosive issues.
Thermal spray coatings have developed ceramic, carbides
and hard metal coatings for the protection of rolls
and other paper converting equipments.
Thermal spray
coatings serve three purposes (1) providing superior
wear resistance (2) have a high coefficient of friction
for excellent pulling or pushing of paper (3) have
a low coefficient of friction to prevent wet paper
or adhesives from sticking to a rolls surface. Advantages
include : |
 |
| |
|
- High
coating density
- Superior
coating hardness
- High
& low volume production
- Excellent
wear and corrosion resistance
