The Metallizing Equipment Company (MEC) Pvt. Ltd. started its operations in the year 1967. Mr. M.D. Modi , an economist by education, peeped into horizon of thermal spraying technology and installed arc spray system in India. What he discovered was a demand for a higher level of service and equipment for the maintenance of massive distorted metallic components. |

In the year 1970, MEC started with arc spray for repair of crankshaft to other rebuilding job work. Assembly of gas flame spray started
In 1980, MEC introduced the plasma spray system in its Plant located in Jodhpur.
MEC has started its R& D unit in the year 1980 in order to grow with self sustainable Indian Technological Movement. Very soon it has obtained approval from Ministry of Science and Technology.
In the year 1990, MEC started manufacturing of Grit blasting machines X-Y manipulators along with Arc spray system and flame spray guns. R& D lab expanded with metallurgical lab. |

Two Branch Offices opened in Mumbai and New Delhi for better service with a Motto of Quick Response for their trusted customers, later it was expanded to cities Hyderabad and Bangalore in the year 2000. Overseas business started with 15% export to total sale.
And acquired ISO 9001:2000 certificate for their excellence in quality control management.
Mr. Ankur Modi’s (son of Mr.S. C. Modi) myriad contributions in the fields of business, system integrations and labour relations symbolized all that is best in the MEC spirit of being ahead. |

In the 40 years of business journey MEC had lot of business associations like Metallization Ltd. UK, Kuka Roboters. Germany, Oseir Spray Watch. Finland, Flame Spray Technologies.
The Netherlands, HC starck. Germany, to provide a complete turnkey system to their customers. In 2006 MEC achieved prestigious CE certification for maintaining the best safety standards in their manufacturing.
By the year 2007 MEC stand in the market as a Premier Thermal spray equipment manufacturer and suppliers of India. MEC also acquired DGCA approvals for its coatings on aerospace components and worked with several research organisations& universities. |
